The Top 5 Reasons Why Women Take Karate

1. Improve your self-confidence:

During class time you will experience the joy of setting and attaining goals on a daily basis! The success you experience in our program will teach you that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. Improved confidence will lead to a more successful work life, a better circle of friends, and increased self-esteem.

2. Learn to defend yourself

Kicks Unlimited teaches two types of self-defense. First, you will learn how to use your arms and legs to generate an amazing amount of power. Learning how to properly utilize your strength, agility, and power is a key component of our program. Next, you will also learn a great deal about preventative self-defense. Through our program you will become more aware of your surroundings and will also learn how to carry yourself and appear less like an easy target.

3. Improve your strength, balance, and coordination:

Much of the work done in our classes focuses on developing core body strength through stance-work and balance drills. You will learn to put together movements in the most effective manner. Not the most coordinated person? That’s okay! Most of our students are NOT athletes and come to us with very little athletic experience. Kicks Unlimited specializes in working with first-time students and has a program designed for new students that will gradually build your balance and coordination.

4. Increase your metabolism:

You can burn up to 800 calories in one of our classes! Not only will you burn calories, but you will tone your arms, legs, abs, and back. The positive side affect of this training results in a higher metabolism which means your body will burn more calories naturally 24-7!

5. Workout in a fun and educational environment:

Some people like working out and others don’t. The feedback we get about our program is that it is FUN! Because our curriculum increases in scope gradually, you will always be challenged with new and exciting curriculum. Many of our students have been practicing karate 2, 3, even 5 years.
