Lifting weights at the gym builds muscle, but Karate will build muscle, shred that body fat and get you one step closer to looking and feeling great! Since Karate uses every muscle group during each and every class, you will never hit that plateau that most of us hit while at the gym.

Kicks Unlimited teaches two types of self-defense. First, you will learn how to use your arms and legs to generate an amazing amount of power. Learning how to properly utilize your strength, agility, and power is a key component of our program. Next, you will also learn a great deal about preventative self-defense. Through our program you will become more aware of your surroundings and will also learn how to carry yourself and appear less like an easy target. All of this will allow you to better defend your family if need be.
3. Improve your strength, balance, and coordination
Much of the work done in our classes focuses on developing core body strength through stance-work and balance drills. You will learn to put together movements in the most effective manner. Not the most coordinated person? That’s okay! Most of our students are NOT athletes and come to us with very little athletic experience. Kicks Unlimited specializes in working with first-time students and has a program designed for new students that will gradually build your balance and coordination.
4. Reduce your level of stress
In today’s world stress is one of the leading causes of health problems in men. Our classes are specifically designed to serve as a very effective method of reducing stress. Many of our classes are focused on utilizing your arms and legs and include hitting heavy bags—one of the most effective ways to rid your body and mind of stress!
5. Workout in a fun and educational environment
Some people like working out and others don’t. The feedback we get about our program is that it is FUN! Because our curriculum increases in scope gradually, you will always be challenged with new and exciting curriculum. Many of our students have been practicing karate 2, 3, even 5 years.
