Our martial arts program teaches two types of self defense. First, you will learn how to use your arms and legs to generate an amazing amount of power. Learning how to properly utilize your strength, agility and power is a key component of our self-defense program. Second, you’ll learn a great deal about preventative self defense. Through our martial arts program, you will become more aware of your surroundings and how to carry yourself so you appear less like an easy target. All of this will allow you to better defend your family, if need be.

3. Improve Strength, Balance & Coordination

A large amount of the work done in our martial arts classes focuses on developing core body strength through stance-work and balance drills. You’ll learn to put together movements in the most effective manner. And if you’re not the most coordinated person, that’s okay! Most of our students are NOT athletes and come to our martial arts school with very little athletic experience. We specialize in working with first-time martial arts students, and have a program designed for new students that will gradually build your balance and coordination over time.

4. Reduce Your Level of Stress

In today’s world, stress is one of the leading causes of health problems in men. Our karate classes are specifically designed to serve as a very effective method of reducing stress. Many of our classes are focused on utilizing your arms and legs and include hitting heavy bags — one of the most effective ways to rid your body and mind of stress!

5. Workout in a Fun & Educational Environment

Let’s face it, when it comes to exercise, some people like working out while others don’t. The feedback we consistently receive about the Kicks Unlimited martial arts program is that it’s FUN, and often doesn’t feel like “exercise!” Because our karate curriculum increases in scope gradually throughout each belt level, you will always be challenged with new and exciting elements to your curriculum.
